SONY CONFIRMED FOR LIVERPOOL’S ECHO PLACE
August 12, 2019The European arm of one of the biggest brands in the world has agreed to take 65,000 sq ft of space in one of the largest City Centre deals of the decade in Liverpool.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe has exchanged to lease three floors in the Echo Place development on Old Hall Street.
The former Liverpool Echo HQ is in the process of being redeveloped by Reach plc in conjunction with Dubai-based Select Group following the forward funding of the project in 2018.
The scheme includes a full service 207-bed hotel, which has been leased to Meliá Hotels International Group for its INNSiDE brand, opening in the spring of 2020.
Sony Interactive will relocate about 500 staff to the offices in June next year from its current base on Wavertree Technology Park Liverpool, where it has been based since 1996.
