Revamp of iconic Liverpool building nears completion

November 1, 2023

A £3.5m scheme to upgrade one of Liverpool’s most iconic buildings, which is home to a number of prominent businesses, is nearing completion.

Work will soon conclude on phase one of the refurbishment of the Port of Liverpool building, which encompasses about 25,000 sq ft of the 160,000 sq ft site.

Once complete, the property will offer an array of office suites ranging from 488 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft, alongside breakout areas and meeting rooms.

The grade II-listed building, which is the eldest among Liverpool’s renowned Three Graces, was constructed in the early 20th century as the headquarters for the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board.

Today, it is home to companies including Rathbones, Forresters, Kuerne & Nagel, Ocean Network, DHL, and Ion Developments.

Blossom Tree is leading the renovations as project manager, while Worthington Owen has been appointed as letting agent.

Mark Worthington added: “The standard of the space that has been created is arguably the best space currently available in Liverpool and we are excited to be working with Blossom Tree to help find new occupiers for this fantastic landmark building.”
