Avalanche establishes first UK base in Liverpool

The Swedish video games developer has taken an initial 7,500 sq ft at Atlantic Pavilion at Royal Albert Dock with a view to expanding up to 12,000 sq ft after 2023.  

Avalanche’s office will be its first in the UK, adding to existing sites in Stockholm, Malmo and New York. 

The company has signed a short-term lease to 2023 at which point it will either look to expand within Atlantic Pavilion or search for larger office elsewhere in the city. 

Avalanche was founded in 2003 by Linus Blomberg and Christofer Sundberg and is most famous for developing the Just Cause series of games. 

Worthington Owen acted on behalf of Avalanche in negotiating this deal.
