Ridge to make move to 100 Embankment in Manchester
October 13, 2023The property and construction consultancy will relocate its Manchester headquarters from Belvedere House, taking 10,500 sq ft in an office block it helped build.
Ridge & Partners’ relocation to the second floor of 100 Embankment sees the company return to Salford after leaving Abito in Greengate for Manchester in 2019.
The firm has signed a 10-year lease on its new home and becomes the latest occupier to commit to the building.
Lucy Osborne, partner at Ridge, said: “The move to a larger, more modern space, is in keeping with our plans for growth whilst maintaining quality.
“Our focus is on providing the right environment for our people to enable them to deliver better for our clients. The larger collaboration space for multi-disciplinary working across all of our expertise is ideal for this.”
Ridge will join Deloitte, whose five floors are currently being fitted out, Aecom, and flexible workspace provide X+why in Salford City Council’s rapidly filling building.
Like Ridge, Aecom and Deloitte were also advisors for the 100 Embankment project.
100 Embankment is owned by Salford City Council and was developed in partnership with Ask Real Estate and Tristan Capital Partners.
Jamie Hills, development director at Ask Real Estate, said: “Securing this latest letting at 100 Embankment to Ridge & Partners is testament to the quality and design of the building as well as its prominent riverside location and access to great amenities.
“Ridge joins an occupier lineup along other global brands, and with only one floor now remaining, together with our partner, Salford City Council, we are confident that the building will be fully let in the coming months.”
Worthington Owen advised Ridge on the acquisition.
